The Rad File Manager is designed with the same user interface you find on our SFTP or FTP applet. Even the functionality is similar, yet the protocol is completely different.

The File Manager is a web application backed by a database. It gives you all the power of the File Transfer Protocol over an HTTP connection. Because information about each file is saved in the database it's extremely easy to integrate with existing web applications.

The software is made of two different components. One that runs in your server and one that runs in the browser. The server application

is written in the java programming language and as such can be deployed on almost any server. The client can either be a light weight applet or a standalone client.

The applet client is light weight and starts up almost instantly. Also available is an offline client for those who prefer it. Both clients have the look and feel of a FTP software, there is no need to familiarize your site's visitor with the product.
