File Manager Applet

In most cases you will be able to use the applet with out making any configuration changes at all. The behaviour of the applet is mostly government by the web application. However the applet does contain two settings that can be changed - namely it's background color and the maximum size of an acceptable file upload.

If you do wish to change these settings, the parameters can be passed to the applet with the use of the HTML <param> tag. Generally it takes the form of: <param name="name" value="name">

bgcolor

The color of the applet can be changed using this parameter. It accepts a hexadecimal value preceded the '#' symbol. eg: <param name="bgcolor" value="#EEEEEE">

max_upload

As with Rad Upload, it is possible to impose client side restrictions on the maximum permissable file upload size. eg: <param name="max_upload" value="10000">

The size is in Kilobytes. You can set this to a very large value but please be aware that your server has to be capable of accepting such large file uploads.
