- What is Barbet?
- Barbet is a database administration and migration tool currently under development.
- What database can I use it with?
- First of all Barbet is still experimental software and you should not use it to manage your customer
database or your inventory. Currently it is compatible with mySQL and
Postgres systems. It can also be use to transfer data from a
mysql store to a postgresql store.
- How do I install it?
- If you download the binary version and already have the JDBC drivers installed on your system you don't need
to spend any time on installation, just run it. If you download the source code you will need to compile it either
using the ant build tool or using an integrated development enviorenment.
